You can utilize an AutoYaST config file to to configure and deploy your KIWI image.  For the purpose of citation, following instructions come straight from the lead KIWI developer, Marcus Schäfer.

  • Save your AutoYaST config file as config‑yast.xml into the image description directory at the same level where the config.xml resides.
  • Make sure that YaST is included in your config.xml file and that it does not get removed as part of the images.sh script.
  • If you now prepare/create an image from this description and deploy it yast2 will start at first boot and configure the system.
  • You can utilize this process to configure things like sound, video etc.
