I like to do a lot of video editing — kid home movies, family events, etc.  I found a video editor that runs on Linux, and even better — it’s included with SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 and that means it’s supported!

It’s called Kino and it’s an open source project.  Admittedly it’s less refined than some of the proprietary tools I’ve used before, but hey — it’s free and it runs on Linux.

You can read a brief review of it in this Linux.com article if you’re interested, which also is a brief how-to.
