Located adjacent to the Mainline Information Systems headquarters, Staybridge Suites Hotel of Tallahassee is one of the first hotels to offer thin-client workstations in all of its 104 rooms.  The goal being to give guests an alternative (and easy to manage) way of accessing the Internet even if they didn’t happen to bring a laptop with them.

Although MS Windows was evaluated as an option, it was deemed cost-prohibitive.  The solution was to provide a virtual session of SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) to guests on demand at a fraction of the cost.  The solution was built using a combination of IBM blade servers, Devon thin client devices, VMware VI3, and of course SLED.
