Here’s a nice little “In the Trenches” article from Matt Asay’s blog on CNet.  He poses several questions to one of Novell’s open source engineers, Brad Nicholes, about what he does and what he sees as differences between the open source and proprietary development models.

Interestingly, Brad started at Novell prior to the Ximian and SUSE acquisitions which means he experienced the shift from proprietary to open source from the inside.  In this blog entry he gives some insight on his perspective.

Kudos to the Novell Open PR blog for pointing it out.
