It’s official, SCO doesn’t own the copyrights to UnixWare and UNIX, Novell does.

Judge Dale Kimball states:

[T]he court concludes that Novell is the owner of the UNIX and UnixWare Copyrights.

The entire ruling can be found here, it’s a PDF of about 100 pages, and while not the most fascinating read, it’s the nail in SCO’s coffin. Even Groklaw was congratulatory.  After chaffing Novell endlessly about the Microsoft/Novell agreement, finally some good press from PJ and the crew.

Good Riddance.
